Beautiful and unique Atelier Zovak signature bracelet honoring St. Clare of Assisi.

Clare was born on July 11, 1194 to a noble family. In the year 1212, after hearing St. Francis preach she was inspired by him and received a habit on Palm Sunday. She joined the Benedictine convent. In 1215 she moved to a house adjoining the church of St. Damiano where she remained for 40 years. There she founded the Poor Clares. As her order flourished the Poor Clares followed the Franciscan Order throughout Europe. They depended on alms and complete faith in God. Clare performed many miracles, including saving the city of Assisi from the army of Frederick II. She warded off the soldiers at the gates of her convent by holding up the Blessed Sacrament and kneeling in prayer. Toward the end of her life and in poor health, Clare had a vision of the Mass from her bed. This mystical gift made her the patroness of modern television.

St. Clare is the patroness of television, goldsmiths, embroiderers, launderers and the blind. Her feast day is celebrated on August 11.

This unique hand cast in bronze medal of St. Clare is suspended from a beautiful handmade chaplet bracelet. Ten African handmade beads represent a decade of the rosary and a beautiful hand carved bead, the Pater bead. Medal is 3/4". A beautiful image of St. Francis is on the back side of the medal. St. Clare comes wrapped on a card, ready for giving.

This St. Clare sacramental makes a great gift for Confirmation, sponsor, godparents, birthdays, embroiderers, goldsmith, launderers a namesake, students attending St. Clare schools or anyone with a special devotion to St. Clare.
