Unique sacramental honoring St. Agatha.

Agatha was the daughter of a prominent noble Sicilian family. A roman senator, named Quintianus, asked Agatha to marry him. She refused to marry him. Enraged by the rejection, Quintianus put her in a brothel, where she miraculously remained unharmed. After rejecting Quintianus' advances, she was imprisoned, tortured, and her breasts were cut off. When was cured by a vision of St. Peter, but the Romans imprisoned her again and rolled her on hot coals. Agatha thanked God for an end to her pain, and died.

On the anniversary of Agatha's death, Mount Etna erupted. The faithful carried her veil up the mountain and stopped the flow of lava. Her veil is enshrined in the cathedral of Florence.

St. Agatha is one of the seven women ,who, along with the Blessed Virgin Mary, are commemorated by name in the Canon of the Mass.

Although sacramentals of St. Agatha honor, remember and support women with breast cancer, St. Agatha is also the patroness of nurses, against fire, earthquakes, Malta, Palermo and Catania Sicily. Her feast day is celebrated on February 5th.

This precious rosary is made in honor of St. Agatha. The Aves and Paters are made from beautiful faceted beads (4mm). Adorning the Pater are beautifully detailed tiny hand cast medals from vintage pieces of the Blessed Mother and Jesus. The crucifix and rosary center are hand cast in bronze from vintage pieces. The rosary is 18" long and comes in a muslin pouch. Pray on or give this rosary as a reminder of your faith and to call upon St. Agatha's intercession for strength, courage, healing and protection.

A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to City of Hope.

NOVENA PRAYER TO ST. AGATHA

O glorious St. Agatha, who remained faithful to Our Lord even unto death, intercede for me as thou dost rejoice in the reward of thy virtues. Cast a glance of pity on (me/mention the person afflicted with cancer or other serious breast ailment) and grant my petition, if such be the will of God. Make my/her troubles into thine own. Plead for the grace yearned for ardently, and for a blessing that may strengthen me/her during life, so to assist me/her to lead a faithful life, so that, one day, I/she may join you in eternity to behold the Source of Eternal Joy. Amen

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.
